Hi! I am Kristina Campos. I am the founder of the Impactful Parent and my passion is creating better relationships between parents and their children. I am a parenting coach, a teacher who has taught every grade level from Pre-K through high school, and most importantly, I am a mom of 4 kids! (Yep, those are my kiddos in the podcast photo).
The teen years don’t need to be difficult. Teenagers CAN have a special bond with their parents! Listen and discover the tools and techniques you need to create connections, build trust, and have a stress-free household. This is only the beginning! Let’s get started, together!

Be Proud of Your Kids For YOUR Mental Health
Parenting is stressful, and it gets even more stressful if you don't step back once in a while and see the big picture. What I mean is it's difficult to see your kid's progress and growth when we have a front-row, daily seat to their life.
In this episode, I challenge parents to find something for which they can be proud of their kids. What has your child done? How have they learned or grown? I also talk about my own 4 children and why I am proud of each one. I hope you can find a little bit of your own child in my examples and relate to my "real mom" moments of honesty.

How does birth order matter in your family?
We already know that research shows how birth order affects children's personalities, but this episode doesn't discuss that. Instead, I ask, "How did birth order affect YOUR upbringing?"
In this episode, I examine how birth order affects our relationships with our siblings, our parents, and our upbringing. I discuss my own experiences growing up as an only child with a brother 10 years my senior. Lastly, I discuss my views of parents' responsibility to foster connections between siblings.
